Frequently Asked Questions

Licensing, meals, sick policy, holidays, and more.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Yolonda's FCC is a licensed family child care home in the State of Texas, and Yolonda is CPR and pediatric first-aid certified with ongoing early-childhood training.

What are your hours?

We're open Monday through Friday. See the Contact & Hours page for current opening and closing times. We're closed on weekends and major holidays.

What ages do you care for?

Infants (6 weeks–17 months), toddlers (18 months–2 years), preschoolers (3–5 years), and school-age children (5–12) for before/after school and summers. See our Programs page for details.

Are meals included?

Yes. We participate in the CACFP food program and serve nutritious, balanced meals and snacks at no extra charge. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs.

How will I know how my child's day went?

You'll get a daily report in the parent portal with photos, meals, naps, diaper changes, activities, and moods — plus two-way messaging so you can reach Yolonda anytime.

What's your sick policy?

To keep everyone healthy, children should stay home with a fever (100.4°F+), vomiting, diarrhea, or a contagious illness, and be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning. We'll always let you know right away if your child feels unwell during the day.

Do you help with potty training?

Absolutely. When you feel your toddler is ready, we'll partner with you to keep the routine consistent between home and here.

How does check-in and pickup work?

We use a secure digital check-in/check-out at drop-off and pickup, with a signature and (optionally) a photo for authorized pickups — so you always know exactly who has your child.

How do payments work?

Tuition is billed on a simple weekly rate through secure online auto-pay. You'll get receipts automatically and a year-end tax statement for your records.

There's a waitlist — how do I get a spot?

Openings fill quickly! Submit an enrollment inquiry and we'll add you to the waitlist and reach out the moment a spot opens in your child's age group.
